Michelle Gaudet

My name is Michelle and I am one of Natasha’s assistants. I am a grade 10 student at William Aberhart High School. I’m in the French immersion program and have been since kindergarten. I play ringette all winter. I have been working for Natasha for a little over a year. I have been showing dogs for 3 and half years with my mom, Tina, and sister, Alyssa. We own, show and breed Shiba-Inus, which are Japanese hunting dogs. This past summer got a Lowchen, Idle, he is in the same group as most of the client dogs which makes it really hectic sometimes but we somehow manage to keep it all together. I have learned a lot about grooming such as how to groom Poodles (Standard and Miniature), Collies ( Rough and Smooth), Shih-Tzu’s, English Springer Spaniels, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, and many, many more....... did I mention Poodles? I also do Junior Handling, always challenging myself different breeds such as: Poodles, Setters of all types, Collies, Labs, Chinese Shar-pei, Bull Mastiffs even a Rottweiler here and there. It is very difficult sometimes when you’re about to go into Juniors, and then you have dogs after that require a bit of grooming because you hope the judge is kind of fast so that you can get back and help. Also we have to answer questions about anatomy, and the breed standard which can get a little confusing when you take in a variety of different breeds. So far throughout my showing career I have gotten 2 Best Puppy in Shows, 4 Best Puppy In Group, Group 4, Group 3 and Group 2.
